This beautiful, ORIGINAL 1 2 " x 1 6 " OIL Painting was created by Arizona artist, Merrie Taverna (that would be ME!). I have always loved to create and since 2006 I had the privilege to teach art in a private school to Kindergarteners through 8th grade. I f oun d my relationship to my students to be a reciprocal one—they inspire d me—and I inspire d them to find their creative voice. Because of them, I f oun d myself more and more immersed in creating with a variety of media, which I f oun d very exciting. I’ve done over an hundred charcoal portraits of athletes; worked with watercolors, making personalized invitations; experimented and painted with acrylics , oils and mixed media. I have since retired and am realizing my dream of being a professional artist. This OIL painting is on stretched canvas, wraps around the sides, comes ready to hang and is unframed.
